The case against immunisation
In 1993 the American institute of medicine report on vaccines concluded that virtually all vaccines given to Children cause damage. Why is it then that the medical profession has constantly underestimated the damage done by immunisations for so long, and why are they still being carried out?
Medical professionals recommend vaccines with the argument that immunisation has been responsible for the decline of infectious illnesses like diphtheria. In fact, because of better sanitation and hygiene, most of these diseases such as diphtheria, cholera and typhoid – were in rapid and continuous decline well before the introduction of immunisation procedures.
Immunisation has been practiced for over a century and official reports have led us to believe that it has been responsible for the decline of infectious illnesses, and is effective in disease prevention. However, when the results have been re-examined, using large scale groups, and taking into account other influencing factors, the claims for the effectiveness of immunisation appear to be unfounded and misleading.
A vaccine contains protein, bacteria and viral particles and also preservatives, neutralisers and carrying agents. It is an allergic reaction to these poisonous substances that cause the sudden collapse that can be rapidly fatal known as anaphylactic shock. Immunisations for diphtheria, hepatitis B, whooping cough and measles have all been found to cause cases of anaphylactic shock. There is also mounting evidence for less immediate but equally devastating damage that is caused by vaccines. For example, the 1993 National Academy of Science Institute of Medicine report found evidence that the rubella vaccine caused short and long term arthritis. The longer term damage is a result of harm done to the immune system of a child’s body as vaccinations may persist and sometimes mutate in the system for years. It is now suggested that viral elements such as those found in vaccines, can emerge later in the form of encephalitis, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis and cancer.
Furthermore, as a result of injecting a vaccine directly into the body, only the antibody response is stimulating, as opposed to the normal process of illness and recovery. The inflammatory response to an infectious illness (for example, a fever, rash or cough) represents the body’s natural efforts to clear the virus from the system. In this way the entire immune system is profoundly stimulated, and not only will the child who recovers from the illness have a natural immunity to it, but he will be able to respond rapidly and effectively to other infections. In fact, infectious diseases are necessary for the maturation of a healthy immune system, and this is particularly true of the common childhood illnesses such as chicken pox, measles and mumps. Government statistics have constantly been manipulated to ‘prove’ the effectiveness of Government funded inoculation procedures. Research to ‘prove’ the effectiveness of individual inoculations has been funded by pharmaceutical companies who have a vested interest both in their sale, and also playing down any possible damage they may cause. Furthermore, in the UK there are now financial incentives for Doctors to encourage them to achieve immunisation targets. This means that those Doctors who do not push their patients into being vaccinated are financially penalised.
It is evident that there are a growing number of people who are convinced by the
Argument’s against vaccination and who are choosing not to vaccinate themselves or their children. Or they may wish to give their child one or two immunisation’s, eg polio but not the entire and ever increasing number. The voices of concern have grown. The link made by Dr Wakefield between the MMR vaccine given to infants and a type of bowel disease that can lead to Autism has understandably led to a low take-up rate for the vaccine. The fact that measles, mumps and rubella used to be viewed as normal childhood illnesses has led many parents to question the wisdom of replacing them with the potential risk of such a devastating outcome as Autism.
There are also worrying links being made between diseases that used to be confined to different animals ‘jumping species’ as a result of mass immunisation. It is thought that SV40 a tumour causing virus, was passed on to many thousands of children by using monkey cells in polio vaccines. Similarly, links are being made between BSE in cattle and vCJD appearing in humans as a result of bovine tissue being used in such vaccines as DPT.
We call the method of taking homeopathic remedies to prevent a disease homeopathic prophylaxis. The idea is, that u take a particular remedy into your system so that it is ready to act should you come into contact with the corresponding disease. The disease therefore will not get a chance to establish itself and you will not experience any symptoms, if the action of the remedy is not needed the body simply doesn’t utilise it. Prophylactic remedies may be one of the homeopathic remedies made from plants, animal products or minerals, or they may be a special type of remedy known as a nosode. Nosodes are actually made from diseased body tissues or discharges such as sputum. In common with any homeopathic remedy, the process of dilution and potentisation renders them chemically harmless but homeopathically active.
The diseases and appropriate Homeopathic Prophylaxis
Cholera 30 (nosode) one prior to travelling and one a week during an outbreak or
Cuprum 30 once a week during an outbreak.
Homeopathic: Champhor, Cuprum, Veratrum Alb
Diptherinum 30 (nosode): once a week during risk of infection or
Pyrogen 30: once a week during risk of infection.
Homeopathc: Apis, Arsenicum, Lac Caninum, Lachesis, Mercurious, Phytolacca, Pyrogen.
Hepatitis A 30: once a week in high risk areas
Hepatitis B 30: Three doses twelve hours apart following a high risk incident such as dubious injection or operation
Homeopathis: Lycopodium, Nat Sulph, Phosphorous,
Herbal: Boldo, Dandelion,root, Milk Thistle.
These herbs will assist the liver to heal. Combine the herbs and make an infusion twice daily for up to six weeks.
Influenzinum 30 (nosode) one dose three times a week during an epidemic or
Aconite, Gelsemium & Eupatorum 30 (combination remedy) take as a prophylactic or as soon as symptoms appear. One dose every twelve hours for three days after contact with the disease of eight hourly starting immediately after the symptoms develop.
Homeopathic: Ars Alb, Belladonna, Bryonia, Eupatorium, Gelsemium, Ipecac, Rhus Tox.
Take Echinacea for up to six weeks if symptoms linger.
No remedies, orthodox or alternative, can guarantee prevention of Malaria. However, the risk and severity of an attack can be lessened with appropriate remedies.
Malaria 30 (nosode): once a week in high risk areas, continue for four weeks after leaving high risk areas. And
China Officianalis 6: take once a day for the other 6 days of the week after leaving a high risk area.
Homeopathic Remedies: Ars Alb, China off, Eupatorium, Nat Mur, Pulsatilla, Sulphur.
Morbillinum 30 (nosode): it may be better if your child contracts measles and get it over with unless your child is weak and it is inadvisable to contract measles then take one dose of the remedy if he/she comes into contact with the disease. The remedy can also be given to clear up a severe or lingering case of measles.
Homeopathic remedies: Belladonna, Euphrasia, Pulsatilla (most common), Rhus Tox
Haemophilus Influenza B (Hib)
Haemophilus Influenza B 30 (nosode) Give this following any contact with the disease. One dose in the morning twice a week for three weeks
If any symptoms of any type of meningitis occur, call the emergency services
Immediately, while waiting for treatment or test results give Belladonna 30 every four hours.
Meningococcus 30 (nosode) Take this following any contact with the disease. One dose in the morning three times a week for three weeks.
If any symptoms indicating the possibility of meningitis develop, get URGENT medical treatment. While waiting for a prescription or test results take Belladonna 30 every four hours.
Parotidinum 30 (nosode) one dose after coming into contact with the disease and one dose the following week.
Homeopathic: Apis, Belladonna, Mercurious, Phytolacca, Pulsatilla.
Poliomyelitis 30 (nosode): one dose per week for three weeks is there is an epidemic or contact with the disease is suspected or
Lathyrus 30: one dose per week for three weeks following any contact with the disease.
Homeopathic: Gelsemium, Lathyrus
Bacillinum 30 (nosode): Take one dose a week for three weeks following suspected exposure to the disease. If you experience prolonged exposure, ie through work, living conditions or travel then professional help should be sought.
Treatment of tuberculosis will need ongoing supervision and probably a number of different remedies and should only be undertaken by a qualified practitioner. It should also be noted that it is illegal to treat tuberculosis other that by a qualified Medical Doctor.
Whooping cough (pertussis)
Pertussin 30 (nosode): Once a week during an epidemic or three doses in one week if your child has had contact with the disease.
Homeopathic: Belladonna, Bryonia, Coccus cacti. Drosera, ipecac.
Yellow Fever 30 (nosode): Once per week whilst travelling in epidemic regions or one dose three times a week during an epidemic.
Homeopathic: Ars Alb, Belladonna, Bryonia, Carbo Veg, Gelsemium, Lachesis, Phosphorus.
Notes for Parents
Many healthcare professionals will put pressure on you to vaccinate your child starting soon after the birth. If you have chosen not to do so then be prepared with some facts before appointments with health visitors, Doctors etc. There is no legal requirement for you to have your child vaccinated in the UK. If you have not made up your mind then joining a support group such as The Informed Parent, and talking to other parents can be invaluable. Also look at websites and consider talking to a Homeopath.
As with many issues that come up for a parent making decisions on behalf of someone else can seem very difficult. It is even more difficult if you are considering going against the tide of orthodox opinion. Many parents choose to have some vaccinations and not others. It is worth bearing in mind that if your child does have some vaccinations most homeopaths will be able to prescribe remedies that can help to clear out any symptoms that may result.
